Pastor E. L. McNair, Sr., is a preacher of the Gospel of Jesus Christ who is committed to saving the lost and equipping & empowering the children of God through the Word of God. He is a native of Linthicum, Maryland born to the late Rev. J. D. McNair, Sr., organizing pastor of the New Unity Baptist Church in Baltimore and to the late Lady Willie Mae McNair.

In 1981 after the death of his father, Pastor McNair moved his membership to the Remnant Baptist Church (now renamed, Greater Faith Baptist Church) where he remained an active member until his appointment to the pastorate. Pastor McNair believes in commitment and longevity to service and by August 2011, he was serving simultaneously as the Youth Pastor, Sunday School Teacher and Director of Cultural Arts at the Greater Faith Baptist Church of Baltimore, MD under the pastorate of the Reverend Dr. Leah E. White. In addition, Pastor McNair also served as the Minister of Music for the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship/ State of Maryland from November 2008 until June 2014.

In 1999 Pastor McNair yielded to God’s call to the preaching ministry, preaching his initial sermon on November 2, 2003. In May 2007 he was appointed to the position of Youth Pastor. In December 2010, he was the first licentiate minister in the church’s history to become ordained to the office of elder. In December 2014 with plans to candidate for a pastorate, God instead led Pastor McNair in organizing the New Covenant Baptist Church, “A church whose desire and determination is to please God.” On October 19, 2024, he was consecrated as Overseer of Worship for the Genesis Covenant Pastors Fellowship under the leadership of Apostle Leah E. White.

Pastor McNair has earned a Bachelor of Theology degree and a Master of Divinity degree from the Eastern Theological Seminary of Lynchburg, Va. Pastor McNair has been married for 32 years to the beautiful Monique McNair and is the father of four children and grandfather of five.
